Tinkerbell or Bust!! (1 of 234)

In 234 days Griff and I will run the Disneyland Tinkerbell Marathon!
I mapped out my training schedule today and walked my first mile of training.

Route: Crocker Park
Distance: 1 mile
Time: no time, ambled.

Surprised at how achy I feel getting in to bed tonight for just an amble...

September 21

Well, I put 5 of that back on, but I'm back on track.
Today I ran 5 miles in 1 hour 6 minutes. I am sooo pleased.
Last time I ran 5 miles it was pretty much 20 minute miles.
This is more like 13. I ran my heart out. Pushed to point of puke. ;-)
It is what I learned from boot camp, that I can push harder than I think.
My knees started bothering me at 3 miles. I realized I was clenching. Relaxed and breathed into it.
It went away. A little ankle pain at the end, probably because I need new shoes.
Awesome run.

Finally! A Full 20 Pounds Down!
I spent a week being vegan to try to jump start this---Nada.
Went back to what I was doing before, simply eating small amounts and not after 5:00 and got that final 1.
To be celebrated.

Down another pound. Yesss. I want to engage my family once again...start everything thinking again.
I've never really thought about living to 100. With all this buzz working with Protandim I am thinking about it for the first time. I got Sanjay Gupta's book, Chasing Life, and his 10 or so points to living long. It includes eating less calories and walking. I'll read more.
My birthday is one week from today, the birthday wave has already started with a celebratory cake last night. I'll be 48. And for the first time I think...it could be half way, or even less. Maybe I really will be among the first generation with more than a handful living well into our hundreds--with a vital lifestyle to match. Very fascinating.

I'm down 15.5 pounds!!!! I am soooo excited!!! It feels real a doable! I'm going to get to the weight I want this year! I have a goal to be down 25 by the end of February. People still don't notice 15, I've way to many too loose, but they will notice 25! I have a pair of pants that I can get on but hurt to wear more than 5 minutes....They will be grand, and the others will need to be sinched up. Here's to baggy pants!! I want them! I am thinking my neck is looking slimmer. I could be imagining. I was able to wear a shirt buttoned this week that I've never been able to button. Oh, I am so excited! I am ready for this experience! uh huh!

Have walked 3 days in a row. Am disgustingly sore.
